The Dream Weaver Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk: A smooth, nutty base that's low in calories but rich in calcium and vitamin E.
  • 1/2 cup tart cherry juice: Natural source of melatonin, which helps regulate sleep cycles.
  • 1 ripe banana: Adds natural sweetness and creaminess, along with potassium and magnesium for muscle relaxation.
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds: Adds a dose of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and a bit of texture.
  • 1/4 teaspoon culinary lavender flowers: Provides a subtle, soothing floral note known for its relaxing properties.
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional): For natural sweetness that also helps in promoting restful sleep.
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon: Adds warmth and depth, with additional calming effects.
  • Ice cubes (adjust to preferred thickness): For a refreshing, cool touch.

Instructions:

Prepare the Ingredients: If using fresh banana, peel and slice it. Measure all other ingredients beforehand for easy blending.

Blend the Base: In a powerful blender, combine the almond milk, tart cherry juice, and banana. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth.

Add Flavors and Texture: Add the chia seeds, culinary lavender (ensure it’s food grade), and (if using) raw honey to the blender. If you’re new to using culinary lavender, start with less and adjust to taste to avoid overpowering.

Fine-Tune Consistency: Add ice cubes to your preference for thickness and texture. If you prefer a colder smoothie, more ice will also thicken it; adjust according to your liking. 

Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture on high until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined, and the smoothie has reached your desired consistency. Stop and scrape down the sides of the blender as needed.

Serve with a Sprinkle of Cinnamon: Pour the smoothie into a serving glass, and gently sprinkle with a pinch of ground cinnamon for aroma and a hint of spice. 

Garnish (Optional): For an extra touch of flair and to hint at the ingredients within, a small lavender sprig or a thin slice of banana can be used as garnish.

Tips: 

For a Sweeter Touch: Adjust the sweetness with more or less honey, according to your taste. The ripeness of the banana also plays a significant role in the natural sweetness of the smoothie.

Nut Allergies: If almond milk is a concern due to nut allergies, oat milk or coconut milk are great alternatives, adding their own unique flavor profiles.
