Down Etc Supports the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund
Donating Its Ogolf Etc® Face and Club Towels to the Sustainable Sports Foundation’s San Francisco Celebrity Golf Classic
Millbrae, CA September 29, 2023—Down Etc, luxury bedding provider to the hospitality industry, shares its love in the way it knows best by donating its products to benefit a variety of charitable and non-profit organizations throughout the year. On September 29, 2023, the Sustainable Sports Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity, is producing the San Francisco Celebrity Golf Classic. All net proceeds will be donated to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund for research. The tournament will be held at the Presidio Golf Course, a Historic National Landmark, which was built in 1895. Down Etc has donated its Ogolf Etc® Face and Club Towels for use by participants in the event.
In addition to a day of golf, those who wish to support the event and the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund can purchase raffle tickets with prizes including tickets to sold-out concerts by Madonna, Pink, and Bruce Springsteen. Participants in the event will have the opportunity to meet celebrities including MLB All-Star and World Series Champion Dwight Gooden and US Women’s Soccer Team, NCAA Champion Leslie Osborne. The Ogolf Etc® grew out of a discussion between Down Etc’s founder and her nephew about how the costs associated with golf keep young people from participating. He had volunteered at First Tee, an organization making golf accessible for all kids and teaching life skills through golf, while in school in Tucson, Arizona. Together, they decided to design an affordable golf towel that would meet the needs of the most avid golfer. The first towels were donated to First Tee and they did not stop there. They have donated a thousand Ogolf Etc® towels to golf fundraisers.
The Face and Club Towel is a double-sided golf towel made with 100% cotton waffle on one side to wipe the club after a swing and 100% cotton terry on the other side to dry the face or hands after the effort. It can be clipped to the golf bag or belt loop with its aluminum carabiner. At 30” x 25”, it is large enough to use on clubs, face, and hands without unclipping it. No need to worry about leaving the towel on the course. The 3” x 4” label wraps around the towel and conveniently lets the golfer know which side is which. Easily laundered in commercial or residential machines, these long-lasting and tough towels are perfect for golfers at every level.
