Down Etc, luxury bedding provider to the hospitality industry, shares its love in the way it knows best by donating its products to benefit a variety of charitable and non-profit organizations throughout the year. This spring, Down Etc is honored to support the 9th Annual Thunder Valley Charity Golf Tournament taking place on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin, California. The Tournament raises funds to benefit local non-profit organizations in Northern California. This year’s beneficiaries include Del Oro High School Parents Club, Sierra College Student Assistance Fund Endowment, Special Olympics of Northern California, and The Gathering Inn. Down Etc will donate thirteen dozen of its new Ogolf Etc® Face and Club Towels to Tournament participants.
The Ogolf Etc® grew out of a discussion between Down Etc’s founder and her nephew about the way in which the costs associated with golf might keep young people interested in the sport from participating. He had benefited from volunteering at First Tee, an organization making golf accessible for all kids and teaching life skills through golf while he was living in Tucson, Arizona. They decided he would design an affordable golf towel that would also meet the needs of the most avid golfer. The goal was to complete Down Etc’s line of hospitality toweling while creating a golf towel that could be donated to programs like First Tee, as well as to fundraisers like the 9th Annual Thunder Valley Charity Golf Tournament to support worthy non-profits.
The Face and Club Towel is a double-sided golf towel made with 100% cotton waffle on one side to wipe the club after a swing and 100% cotton terry on the other side to dry the face or hands after the effort. It can be clipped to the golf bag or belt loop with its aluminum carabiner. At 30” x 25”, it is large enough to use on clubs, face, and hands without unclipping it. No need to worry about leaving the towel on the course. The 3” x 4” label wraps around the towel and conveniently lets the golfer know which side is which.
